Punishable Infractions
Counter Production: Hindering the growth and prosperity of our guild. This includes, but is not limited to, creating an unfriendly or antagonistic atmosphere (drama) within the guild and using our guild to recruit for another guild.
Punishment: For minor offences, a warning will be given. Moderate or repeat offenses after a warning will lead to suspension. Severe and highly offensive actions can lead to banning without a warning.
Failure to Cooperate: Willfully ignoring the Leaders or Officers. This is our catch-all rule. On rare occasions, the Leader or Officers may ask members to comply with certain instructions due to extenuating circumstances. (Example: We discover a game-breaking glitch and the Officers ask that all members must stay clear of it.)
Punishment: At the discretion of the officers depending on the situation. Special consideration will be given to the fact that we cannot always get our messages to members quickly.
Flagrant Disregard: Chronic disrespect of the rules. Anyone who receives 3 or more suspensions in a 6-month period (for any combination of offenses) may be found guilty of this crime.
Punishment: Permanently banned from the guild.
Guild Defamation: Any action that causes our guild to lose respect among the general public. This may include, but is not limited to, being overly offensive, rude or harassing to people outside of the guild and openly insulting the guild.
Punishment: For minor offences, a warning will be given. Moderate or repeat offenses after a warning will lead to suspension. Severe and highly offensive comments can lead to banning without a warning.
Pornography: Posting any picture or writing in the forums that the Officers deem as pornography. This may include, but is not limited to: nudity, violence or racism.
Punishment: Upon first offense, a member may be suspended from the guild for up to a month. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.
Profanity: Excessive use of vulgar or offensive language.
Pusnishment: For minor offences, a warning will be given. Moderate or repeat offenses after a warning will be suspended. Severe and highly offensive comments can lead to banning without a warning.
Verbal Abuse: Insulting or threatening comments towards another person.
Punishment: For minor offences, a warning will be given. Moderate or repeat offenses after a warning will be suspended. Severe and highly offensive comments or threats of personal physical harm can lead to banning without a warning.
Rapture Values
Rapture is a democratically run guild. In Rapture members are democratically chosen into leadership roles to make sure that our leaders always strive to keep our members happy. Leaders hold meetings to discuss guild policy and deliberate on changes.
In Rapture the leaders work for you and not the other way around. With a strong basis on friendship and selflessness.
F Fun. No event in Rapture is ever mandatory. The designers of this game have stated that their mission is to create a system that will allow a player to play the game in their own way, and so is it ours.
F Fair. Being a democratic guild we intend to have your goals at the forefront of our decision making and all members of Rapture should know that they all have a say on what direction they would like to see their guild headed.
X X-ceptional(sp =p). Quality over quantity. We expect to help influence strong and effective players through activity. We will keep our members options open so there will always be something to do and grow through.
I Interactive. Rapture encourages a social atmosphere in which people from around the world can meet and have fun interacting with their in game personas.
V Venerable. Commanding Respect because of impressive dignity. As the genre suggests in a massively-multiplayer game it is massively important to be held in high regard among the FFXIV community.
Raptures rules are in place to maintain a functioning and enjoyable atmosphere any activities that infringe upon another player's fun be they within the guild or outside of our community will not be achieved without penalty.
Such rules include:
- Harassment of players
- Failures to cooperate
- Insulting others
- Stealing drops/bank loot
- Racism/Prejudice
- Player Killing, Mass or otherwise
- Ninja lotting from members outside of the guild
- Overuse of profanity
- Hacking/Third-party programs (bots)
